Delete your account

You can delete your NomadHearts account at any time, and you do not need to ask us for permission. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and how long it takes.

The short version: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you have already uninstalled the app, use the form below and we will do it for you.

1. In the app — takes effect immediately

Open NomadHearts and go to the Profile tab.
Under Settings, tap Account.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account and the data listed in section 3 are deleted right away. There is no waiting period, no grace period, and no way to restore the account afterwards.

2. Already uninstalled the app?

Send us the email address you signed up with and we will delete the account for you. We will confirm by email once it is done. Please write from that same address if you can — it helps us confirm the request is really yours.

3. What gets deleted

Your profile: name, photos, bio, vehicle details and social links
Your route, your last known position and every location share you granted
Your messages, connection requests and friendships
Your marketplace listings, Handy posts, events and convoys
Your blog posts, comments, and the ratings you gave and received
Your login and password

Photos and other uploads are removed from storage along with the account.

4. What we keep, and why

If your account was the subject of an abuse report, we may keep a record of that report without your profile data. Without it, somebody removed for harassment could simply delete their account and come back. Keeping the community safe is a legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and we keep no more than is needed for it.

We also keep records we are legally required to hold — for example those needed for tax purposes — for as long as the law requires, and no longer.

5. How long it takes

Deletion inside the app is immediate. Requests sent through the form above are handled within 30 days, usually within a few days. Encrypted backups are overwritten on a rolling basis and are fully cleared within 90 days.
